A 2009 Pinellas County ordinance requires
home and business owners to register their alarm systems with the
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. The ordinance has also
implemented a fine schedule for any false alarms which may occur at that home or business.
On July 1, 2009, Pinellas County deputy sheriffs will begin enforcing this ordinance by citing property owners for false alarm
incidents.

Pinellas County Water Restrictions Modified Phase III water restrictions went into effect on August 25th for all of Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties, according to an announcement from the Southwest Water Management District. Lawn watering continues to be restricted to one day per week, allowed from midnight to 4 a.m. for properties smaller than 1 acre using an in-ground irrigation system. For those using a sprinkling can, hand-held hose with automatic shut-off nozzle, or a portable sprinkler, watering is allowed from 6 to 8 a.m. and 6 to 10 p.m. For a summary of Water Shortage Order No. SWF 08-044 and for more information on the order, go to Southwest Florida Water Management District Restrictions. |
